Learning support for children with dyslexia
If your child has been diagnosed with a specific learning difficulty, together with the results and recommendations from the assessment, an individual teaching programme is then created to help support your child’s individual and future needs. I can also recommend/suggest specialist private tuition in your area. When you have your Assessment Report, you can meet with the SENCO at the school to discuss the findings and the action plan provided to help your child. With a diagnosed disability such as Dyslexia, your child will be entitled to support under the Disability Discrimination Act at school.

Specialist Teacher and Assessor of children with Specific Learning Difficulties with over 36 years teaching experience. I obtained my OCR Diploma to become a qualified Specialist Teacher and Assessor in 2003. Dyslexia assessments take place in the COVID secure conservatory at my home in Bishop’s Stortford, on the Herts and Essex border, and will last the whole morning. I regularly update my knowledge and expertise with courses, seminars and conferences as well as being a member of the British Dyslexia Association and PATOSS (Professional Association of Teachers with Specific Learning Difficulties).
